Description

We are looking for a caring and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant for Home Health Care. This CNA will provide excellent hands-on patient care with activities of daily living. This CNA position will service Fort Wayne, IN and the surrounding area. The right candidate could start immediately.

Responsibilities:

Reads and records temperature, pulse, and respirations.
Provides for patient's personal hygiene, grooming, and comfort needs
Promotes a safe environment during care.
Observes and reports the condition of patient/client to the appropriate supervisor.
Works in a team environment to effectively deliver the care and assistance to patients and staff.
Assists with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises.
Transports patients and equipment within the facility as necessary.
Completes other assignments as requested and assigned.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age.
Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Indiana.
CPR certification
Able to provide proof of a valid driver's license and auto insurance
Able to communicate with all levels of clinical and non-clinical individuals.
Must be comfortable visiting patient's in home
Able to constantly travel within geographic area serviced by office from assignment to assignment.
Able to read and interpret technical instructions; use vision and hearing to observe the patient.
Requires hand-eye coordination and fine motor function necessary to assist in the operation of patient care equipment.
Work environment involves frequent exposure to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens and/or potentially infectious or hazardous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment (e.g. face masks, goggles, latex and or non-latex gloves).
Ability to stretch, bend, stoop, twist, stand, sit, walk, reach and climb stairs.

ADA Specifications:

Able to constantly travel within geographic area serviced by office from assignment to assignment.
Work is normally performed in a residence, aggregate living facility, school or occupational setting.
Heavy physical activity that may require lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling over 50 lbs., and physically stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, standing, sitting, walking, reaching and climbing stairs.
