Role Summary:
The R&D Chemist drives innovation in food product development and formulation enhancement while ensuring safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research and experiments for new food ingredients and flavors.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for formulation optimization.
Utilize expertise in fermentation processes and preservation techniques.
Investigate and apply mold inhibitors to prevent contamination.
Analyze raw materials and finished products using lab techniques.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Document research findings accurately and participate in sensory evaluations.
Essential Qualifications:
Experience in the ingredients and flavors industry.
Proficiency in fermentation processes and preservation methods.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field.
- 2-5 years of R&D experience in the food industry.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Works in a warehouse environment with mechanical parts.
Lifts up to 55lbs regularly and engages in repetitive motions.
Requires standing for extended periods and manual dexterity.
Able to communicate and hear effectively in the work environment.
