THE POSITION:


DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


You will undertake a range of entry-level technical tasks in the Survey Unit, aimed at developing proficiency in surveying data requirements, equipment, and methodologies.

For various survey tasks, your role will involve identifying and selecting the appropriate equipment, methods, and data to be collected.

You will also be responsible for accurately placing survey points and ensuring the collection of necessary data.

Additionally, you will need to adhere to standard practices and procedures to ensure that your work is carried out in compliance with guidelines and regulations and completed in a timely manner.

Lastly, you will need to determine the extent of on-site decision making, distinguishing between tasks that can be handled independently and those that require consultation with supervisors or managers.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment
  • Schedules vary due to weather conditions and field conditions, and requires working in inclement conditions.

Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) on an Adhoc basis. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Allentown.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • An associate degree in surveying, drafting, designing, civil, or any other appropriate field of engineering technology.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 6 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Other Requirements:


  • This particular position requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
