    Position Summary


    Serve as a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer for a series of projects and products as well as a team of quality professionals.

    This involves developing and implementing test plans, new processes, and tools to improve the quality of our products and ensure the team moves toward test-driven development.

    Manually test software releases. Manage a timeline, communicate status and identify when project scope or timelines change, or additional resources are needed.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    Own overall release quality. Manages releases and their content from a quality perspective.
    Lead a small team of quality professionals.

    Develop, maintain, and execute a QA test plan encompassing manual and automated testing for use throughout the development lifecycle to ensure final product conforms to scope-agreed expectations for each software release.

    Collaborates with technical leaders, QA automation engineers, and software engineers to identify and prioritize functions and features that require test automation.

    Analyzes test results for accuracy and compliance. Finds root cause of problems and recognizes recurring issues; resolves or contributes to the resolution process.
    Manages quality acceptance criteria. Maintains documentation, user accounts and test data used by the team.

    Coordinates efforts with software engineers to test and identify performance opportunities, as well as to ensure testability issues are addressed during design lifecycle.

    Develops new and refines existing QA processes, tools, and testing infrastructure to enhance quality and productivity.
    Logs defects / issues with appropriate detail. Reviews defects and set the appropriate severity level. Owns automation framework, architecture, roadmap and standards. Leads efforts to increase automation coverage.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    B.S. or higher in Computer Science/Quality Engineering or related field with a minimum of 1 year software development experience required.
    7+ years of experience leading and improving quality of software products.
    Experience leading teams.
    Ability to drive quality automation and its implementation across products.
    Demonstrated experience owning and driving quality throughout a software development organization.
    Demonstrated test driven development experience.

    Solid quality assurance and analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of web-based technologies and products; proven background with test scripts and automation tools.

    Experience in day-to-day operations of a quality assurance and test environment with the ability to partner with cross functional teams.

    Experience with manual testing.

    Nice-to-have Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

    Experience in the Fleet Industry
    Coding skills in JavaScript, .NET, database design and SQL.
    Experience with test automation frameworks and the ability to write test cases.
    Strong organizational skills required.
    Ability to analyze data and make tough calls on release quality.
    Ability to work in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment.
