- Adhere closely to the DoD RMF process for ATO maintenance
- Participate in continuous monitoring
- Maintain BoE documentation for ATO support
- Develop and sustain Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) checklists
- Support all internal and external assessments
- Stay updated on security best practices and latest technologies
- Manage information system compliance with security protocols
- Proficiency in DoD's RMF processes and documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a technical team setting
- DoD 8570/8140 certification
- Experience with custom ServiceNow applications
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Utilize Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMass) or similar systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of Software Development experience supporting the DoD
- 5+ years in Information Assurance, cyber security, or related fields
- ServiceNow technical certification
- 5+ years managing custom applications on ServiceNow
- DoD 8570/8140 certification

Overview
GovCIO is currently looking for an Information Assurance (IA) Engineer to help with the maintenance of a DoD enterprise application powered by ServiceNow in Arlington, VA. The position offers remote/hybrid work.
Responsibilities
This role involves managing the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process to keep the system's Authorization to Operate (ATO) in line with the DoD's Risk Management Framework (RMF) for a ServiceNow application. The IA Engineer will oversee assessment software, maintain the Body of Evidence (BoE) documentation, and collaborate with the team to conduct Quality Assurance testing like User, Regression, and IV&V Testing for smooth operations.
Qualifications
High School with 9+ years (or equivalent experience)
Clearance Required: Top Secret w/SCI
