Description
We are looking for an immediate long-term contract opening for an Import Export Agent in Atlanta, GA for our client an International Cargo company.
Responsibilities:
Processes export & import inquiries as per client requirements and procedures such as processing of discrepancies at acceptance, preparation and finalization of outbound flights/trucks & handling of import documentation (delivery, transfer, and abandoned shipment)Processes all Air Waybills and HAWBs & ensures accurate data capture as per clients requirements and proceduresHandles Special CargoInitiates invoicing, accepts cash paymentsPerforms Service Recovery activities (i.e.
tracing, warehouse checks, offloads) and Airmail HandlingFully supports the quality standardsWorks according to documented CHM and GOM proceduresObserve & apply the security requirements of the client and local authoritiesContacts customers & inform them of any/all irregularitiesEssential functions:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access invoices, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a computer, calculator, copier, and printer.
Work Environment:
Office Setting- Working with othersOccasionally work in extremely bright or dim lighting conditions.
Requirements:
Education: GED/High School desired Experience
Shift hours:
Monday to Sunday 6 AM to 2:30 PM 2 PM to 10:30 PM Need to be flexible to work different shifts and days.
