    Overview

    Employed by PAGNY for NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, located just 15 minutes from NYC, is an acute care teaching hospital academically affiliated with Weill-Cornell Medical College. Dedicated to providing high quality patient care to a diverse community, Lincoln Medical Center is a NYS designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties including its award- winning Cancer and Breast Centers. The Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the U.S and has one of the oldest EM residencies in New York.


    Responsibilities

    The Department of Emergency Medicine at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln is recruiting a highly motivated and talented program director to lead the Emergency Medicine Residency Program. The program director will lead a team that provides outstanding education and clinical experience to the Emergency Medicine residents. They will actively participate in resident education and evaluation in line with departmental academic goals in addition to leading curriculum reform. The program director will also lead efforts in residency recruitment and should support wellness initiatives, efforts in diversity, equity, & inclusion, and be an excellent role model for trainees.

    The program director will work clinically in the Lincoln Emergency Department alongside the dedicated faculty, residents, and staff. The position includes 50% protected time for residency administration.

    Qualifications

    • Board certified in Emergency Medicine
    • At least three years as an EM residency core faculty member in an accredited EM residency program.
    • Experience in residency administration
    • Evidence of scholarly activity and involvement in regional/national EM organizations

    The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an assistant or associate residency program director. The candidate should demonstrate a strong interest and skill in resident education and leadership.
