    Description

    As a *Medical Assistant*, you will be a part of the Clinical Care Team and engage our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health.

    The Medical Assistant makes a difference in people's lives, administers prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled persons under direction of a Physician.

    *Center Address:* 1500 E Hillsboro Blvd, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441

    *Job Functions:
    • Perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type
    • Manage the provider's schedule to ensure efficient workflow
    • Obtain and record medical history and vital signs
    • Room patients and assist healthcare providers with medical procedures and treatments
    • Perform specimen collection and point of care testing
    • Prepare and administer medications under direction of healthcare providers
    • Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including documentation of HEDIS and Stars quality measures
    • Maintain established quality control standards
    *Required Qualifications: * *MUST be Bilingual in English and Spanish
    • Must have 1 – 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care
    • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a Medical Assisting program
    • Current CPR certification
    • Phlebotomy experience
    *Preferred Qualifications:
    • An active Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification from one of the following organizations: AAMA, AMT, ARMA, MedCa, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, NHA or AAH
    • Experience with HEDIS and ICD/CPT coding
    • Experience with Electronic Medical Records
    • Experience in a fast paced/high volume environment
    *Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00*Job Type: Full-time
