- Serve as an expert for UL/CSA/IEC 61010, EN 61326 and FCC part 15 as they apply to instrument design, testing, and manufacture.
- Review hardware designs for compliance to UL/CSA/IEC 61010, EN 61326 and FCC part 15.
- Conduct tests for official UL/CSA/IEC 61010 TRF to ensure compliance to EN 61326 and FCC part 15.
- Represent company in UL/CSA/IEC 61010 audits by NRTL to ensure compliance to audit findings.
- Write and maintain safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing procedures.
- Mentor and train junior engineers.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing.
- Solid technical knowledge and understanding of product/process design.
- Proficiency in report writing, analysis, and compliance procedures.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to communicate and build partnerships with outside agencies.
- Bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's of science preferred.
- Minimum of eight years of compliance experience with UL/CSA/IEC or similar standard), EN 61326 and FCC part 15 (Relevant experience equates to eight years of experience with a bachelor's degree; five years of experience with a master's degree.)
