The OpportunityWe are seeking a Manager of Accounts Payable to lead and optimize the end-to-end AP function in a high-volume, multi-entity environment.
This leader will oversee daily operations, ensure accuracy and compliance, drive process improvements, and provide strategic insights through KPI development and performance analytics.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the full accounts payable lifecycle, including invoice processing, payment execution, and expense reimbursements
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of AP professionals, including performance management and hiring support
Establish and maintain AP policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Design and monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Oversee vendor relationships and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
Manage AP tax reporting (including 1099, 1042, and state sales tax requirements)
Lead quarterly and year-end accruals, reconciliations, and audit support
Partner with internal stakeholders and leadership to identify process enhancements and operational solutions
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5–7 years of Accounts Payable experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, AP processes, and internal controls
Experience in high-volume or multi-entity environments
Demonstrated ability to build and analyze KPIs and operational metrics
Experience with federal and state tax reporting
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred
CPA or CMA designation
Experience with enterprise financial systems (e.g., SAP)
Familiarity with automated AP workflow tools
