    Summary

    The Food Safety Specialist will be responsible for the sales growth, management, and development of both new and existing accounts. They will completely understand the target industry in his/her geographic region and relationships with these customers and specific industries.

    Key Activities

    • Oversee and implement quality control measures for food products and advance company programs using science and proven methodologies to aid in the manufacture of the highest quality products
    • Develop and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards specifically meeting GFSI (SQF BRIC, or Other) standards.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections of production facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to food safety protocols.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective action plans in response to quality and safety issues.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes related to food quality and safety and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

    Preferred Skills

    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

    Educations & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree or working experience in food science, microbiology, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in food quality assurance, with a focus on meat products.
    • Experience working with global food service initiatives compliance is strongly preferred.
