    Document Specialist Position at ORC

    Are you searching for a flexible Document Specialist role? ORC is in need of a part-time, on-call, non-exempt Document Specialist based in Ohio. The ideal candidate should be a resident of Ohio and able to go to the Cincinnati, Columbus, or Cleveland, OH office 2-3 days a week.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    As a Document Specialist, you will collaborate with Project Managers, Assistant Managers, and ROW agents in day-to-day data entry, filing activities, and document creation, including acquisition documents, line lists, and landowner files.

    The selected candidate will be responsible for various tasks such as drafting introduction letters, developing offer packages, preparing scopes, and conducting market data studies. Quality control of documents, final internal document filing, and successful project closure are also part of the role.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Prior experience in office administration, paralegal work, court or document clerk roles, or similar professions.
    • Document preparation experience.
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and other electronic databases.
    • Comfortable with digital document operations.
    • Availability of iOS or Android smartphone for system access.


    Bonus points for experience in Right of Way or Real Estate industry. Relocation and per diem not provided for this position.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Proficient in English.
    • Regular ability to communicate and exchange information in person, via phone, and email.
    • Substantial wrist, hand, and finger movements due to computer usage.
    • Expected long hours in front of a computer screen, reading, understanding, and interpreting data.
    • Largely sedentary role, occasional office movements, and rare travel.
