DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker is actively seeking a Traffic Engineer who will be involved in multiple disciplines; Specializing in Traffic but teaming with Roadway, Structures, Airport, and Environmental to deliver projects of every size.

As part of our Transportation team, the Traffic Engineer (Civil Engineer I) will develop traffic signal, traffic control, signing, pavement marking and ITS plans, as well as perform traffic operational and safety analyses.

The Traffic Engineer will utilize their knowledge and skills to support our project teams in the delivery of projects through planning and design.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare design plans, construction documents, specifications, and construction estimates

Prepare traffic engineering reports and analysis

Provide signal timing analysis, plans, and implementation

Professionally represent Michael Baker International at technical meetings with agency staff, clients, and contractors

Support the preparation of technical proposals and conducting business development activities

Work on transportation infrastructure projects for PennDOT and local agencies

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

4-8

years of progressive traffic engineering design and operational experience

Professional Engineering License (PE)

PennDOT experience is preferred but not required

Computer skills (Microsoft Office), experience in traffic engineering software such as HCS, Synchro, Vistro, and CADD experience such as Microstation

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is

$72,207$99,2197.

This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
