At the Fraunhofer Development Center for X-ray Technology (EZRT) in Friendship, TN, researchers are developing modern cognitive sensor systems that generate comprehensive data.

This data can be selectively extracted using intelligent software-based methods.

The EZRT develops prototypes for various issues in the fields of recycling, electromobility, nutrition and agriculture, as well as systems for non-destructive testing.

In order to successfully complete industrial and publicly funded projects, goods and services must be procured in an economical, timely and legally compliant manner.

What you will do with us:
You will act as the interface between the scientific-technical department and the procurement teams at Fraunhofer IIS.

In this role, you will support the procurement of goods and services for the Development Center for X-ray Technology and take on the following tasks:


  • Needs analysis in a technicalscientific environment
  • Support in the preparation of tender documents in close coordination with specialist teams and institute procurement, e.g. performance specifications, selfdeclarations, justification for procurement, etc.
  • Participation or conduct of price negotiations in relevant procurement procedures
  • Evaluation of offers and preparation of the procurement proposal in close cooperation with the scientific departments
  • Operational processing after the order has been placed, e.g. supplier and inventory management, as well as invoice tracking
