    Description
    Inside Sales Assistant
    Priority Wire and Cable is currently in need of a self-starter Sales Assistant for our Baton Rouge, LA office who can quickly contribute and complement our team Daily contact via phone and email with existing (90%) and potential customers (10%) to quote business and pro-actively tele market our product
    Manage pricing based on local market levels, inventory availability, and overhead costs to maximize profits and customer service
    Work in conjunction with manufacturers' reps and regional sales people to grow business
    Evaluate customer needs to determine appropriate products or alternatives to meet job or project requirements
    Collect data needed by accounts receivable to establish lines of credit
    Handle customer complaints including product quality, freight claims, pricing, etc
    Enter quotes and orders into computer system
    Handle account inquiries and workload when co-workers are out of office
    Help answer and route inbound phone calls
    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent
    Understanding of MS Office
    Commercial experience understanding, such as cost analysis, internal and external benchmarking, market trend analysis, competitor pricing

    Previous Wire & Cable experience is a plus
