    Allied Health Solutions Medical Group (AHS) has a vacancy for an experienced Medical Records Scanning and Filing Clerk. The candidate must understand medical terminology, the managed care environment, be a team player, be detailed oriented, and have computer skills and the ability to work in a fast paced clinic.

    This is a full time position, Mondays through Fridays. The candidate may be required to work overtime and on weekends.

    JOB SUMMARY
    ► Scan medical records to Practice Management software, Office Ally
    ► Organize medical records in accordance with Document Types in Practice Management Software
    ► Remove and destroy duplicate copies and outdated materials
    ► Prepare medical records to archive: Log archived charts
    ► Scan medical records to Practice Management software, Office Ally
    ► Maintain daily Logs and Reports
    ► Process Medical Records request from insurance companies, clinics, court subpoenas, patients and other sources

    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
    ► Associate Degree level or higher
    ► 2 – 5 years experience working in a Medical Records Department

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    Experience with EHR systems, namely Office Ally
    Ability to operate computer and scanning equipment
    Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
    Excellent command of the alpha numeric system.
    Ability to handle standardized situations with occasional variations.
    Previous computer exposure preferred.
    Interpersonal/human relations skills.
    Organizational skills.
    Telephone etiquette skills.
    Ability to maintain records and files.
    Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    Ability to exert physical effort maintaining files and records.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    Position requires prolong standing and sitting while working in an office environment. Requires full range of body movements, involves bending, stretching, lifting and manual dexterity.
