Washburn Center for Children serves almost 4,000 children ages 0-18 and approximately 9,000 family members each year. Washburn Centers three office locations Brooklyn Park, Edina, and Minneapolis serve the entire Twin Cities metro area.

    The nonprofit also offers in-home services, and its school-based program serves 50+ schools in the Eden Prairie, Bloomington, Minneapolis, Savage, Burnsville and Eagan school districts.

    This position primarily supports Washburn Centers Annual Fund and manages a portfolio of entry-level individual donors of up to $1,499.

    This position is a crucial development team member who works under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer.
    Annual FundCollaborating with the Chief Development Officer, develop and implement comprehensive Annual Fund strategies to meet Washburn Centers short and long-term need for philanthropy and maximize revenue from entry-level individual giving.
    • Coordinate efforts to sustain and grow the individual donor base and implement practices to increase donor acquisition, retention, and giving at the mid-level donor category.
    • Manage entry-level donors, up to $1,499, emphasizing cultivating these donors to deeper engagement and financial commitment.
    • Collaborate closely with the marketing and communications team on strategies to support and execute fundraising campaigns across multiple platforms and channels, ensuring voice, tone, and messaging consistency.
    • Project manage the annual spring and year-end direct mail campaigns, including but not limited to list segmentation, generating queries, mailing lists and reports from Raisers Edge.
    • Provide other support as necessary to facilitate the creation of mailing lists for newsletters, annual reports, brochures, solicitation letters, and other communication materials as determined by the Chief Development Officer.

    Development Administrative Support
    • Contribute to the effective cultivation and stewardship of new and existing relationships with donors at all gift levels through clear, polite communication, thank you calls, notes, and timely follow-up on requests or queries.
    • Schedule meetings, coordinate logistics, and prepare materials for the CDO and team to support their work with individual and institutional donors, volunteers, and committees.
    • Work closely with the CEO and CDO on high-end donor cultivation events.
    • Coordinate donor mailings and other communications logisticsThe ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required with a preference in database administration or record management.
    Minimum of two to three years of successful individual fundraising coordination and database management.
    Knowledge of Raisers Edge and Raisers Edge NXT and supporting technologies.
    Proficiency in managing donor and constituent databasesMust have a strong customer service orientation.

    Must be able to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take the initiative, resolve problems, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met promptlyAbility to work cross-functionally in a small team-based environment.

    Ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
    Diligent work ethic, personal drive, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks independently.
    Creative thinker who meets challenges with innovation and resourcefulness.

    Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.$55,000 - $60,000 a year The starting salary range is $55-60k annually, commensurate with experience.

    This is a full-time, exempt position with work hours primarily Monday-Friday during the agencys regular business hours, with some evenings and weekends required.

    Vacation:
    Paid Vacation accrues at 10 hours of vacation per month - up to 15 days / 120 hours annually

    Sick Leave:
    Paid sick leave accrues at 6.68 hours of sick per month - up to 10 days / 80 hours

    Holidays:

    There are 2.5 days/20 hours of floating holidays per year in addition to the eight standard holidays.
