SUMMARY STATEMENT
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for keeping production running by effectively leading and giving direction to the maintenance technicians.

Areas of focus will be at the main facility and ensuring the efficient and safe manufacturing of quality products in a manner that is consistent with company policies and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem from time to time.

*Food safety or quality responsibilities within job. All staff are responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues to those that can initiate action.

Assist in troubleshooting and repair of equipment and machines.
Provide on the job training of mechanics.
Aide in determining root cause failures and ideas for corrective action.
Monitor and approve timecards, vacation, attendance, scheduling and HR related discipline actions.
Provide monthly training to team.
Conduct audits as required.
Creates, prepares and supervises preventative maintenance (PM) schedules to maintain all equipment, machines, and systems as well as work orders.
Works with and communicates with manager on issues which arise that could adversely impact the operational performance of the facility.
Conduct performance management reviews with team.
Special projects as assigned.
Order parts and supplies as needed.
Enforce company policies on Food Safety, Sanitation, GMP's and USDA guidelines
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bilingual (Spanish/English)
High School diploma / GED desired or equivalent
4+ years supervisory experience working in a high volume, manufacturing, food production, or equivalent experience in the related field preferred
Available to work hours shift
Experience working with USDA facility.
Ability to work in a cold environment will be exposed to wet or humid conditions
Physical demands

:

continuously required to stand or walk, must frequently lift and / or push/ pull up to 50lb with the aid of a team member

Ability to train others required.
Must have the ability to give negative and positive feedback to employees daily.
Excellent time management skills required. Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities.
Strong organizational, analytical, communication and leadership skills required.
Must be innovative and can make changes to the operation as needed to further improve the work environment and unit performance.
Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
Knowledge of GMP.
