    Description

    Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

    At ResilienX, we are making future skies safer by providing safety assurance solutions at scale.

    We are pursuing a software development engineer in test (SDET) with 2-6 years of professional experience developing and/or testing web-based microservices to join our growing development team. Responsibilities include developing automated tests and manual procedures for requirements verification, identifying and documenting software flaws, and developing test support software.

    We work in a collaborative environment with an Agile approach to the software development life cycle including sprint planning, daily scrums, and sprint retrospectives.

    Our engineering team is also targeting growth in the areas of Software Development, DevOps, and Systems Design. Our growth approach aims to build a well-rounded team with team members having a primary focus and secondary skill sets. For this position, an ideal candidate has a background supporting one or more of these areas in addition to Software Test and the willingness to support efforts depending on current business needs.

    ResilienX is a technology startup based in Syracuse, NY focusing on health and integrity monitoring for the rapidly expanding commercial drone ecosystem. We are maturing and expanding the functionality of our core product FRAIHMWORK, with a library of existing microservices and new ones in the R&D phase.

    Required:

    • 2-6 years of professional experience

    Experience with:

    • Requirements verification
    • Continuous Integration (CI)
    • Automated test frameworks & tools
    • Design & implementation of test cases
    • Java & Python programming languages
    • US Citizenship (this is non-negotiable)

    Preferred:

    • College degree or formal training in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
    • Familiarity with any of the following:
    • Testing web-based microservices
    • Testing REST APIs
    • Web Display testing frameworks
    • Agile development methodologies
    • SQL and NoSQL databases (Redis, TimescaleDB, PostgreSQL)
    • Java Spring framework
    • Kubernetes, Helm, Docker
    • Cloud Native application practices
    • AWS or similar cloud-based environment and toolchain
    • Aviation or aerospace experience is a significant plus

    Salary at ResilienX is market competitive and determined by various factors, including but no limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The anticipated salary range for this position, based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $80,000 to $110,000 annually. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of ResilienX's total compensation package for employees.

    Additional details around benefits, stock options, and more will be provided to candidates during the interview process. It is preferred that this job be located on-site in Syracuse, NY, however we will consider remote work candidates.
