Saab, Inc.s Surveillance U.S. Division is seeking motivated Production Test Engineer to work at our Headquarter facility in East Syracuse, NY.
As part of a highly collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to work within a hands-on work environment, working on new technologies.
This will give you an opportunity to not only learn about Saab, Inc.products, but will give you exposure to a variety of test tools and testing technologies to continue to build your skill set.
Job DescriptionResponsibilities will increase over time with experience and will include:
Independently executes software and/or hardware product testing at various levels of the build process
Provides input for test equipment and procedures for new products
Efficiently diagnoses problem areas, identifies root cause and recommends cost-effective solutions
Support integration activities, troubleshooting and regression testing
Identify, generate and validate test tools as necessary
Write test reports documenting the results of formal test events
Compensation Range:
$75,800-$94,800
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc.
considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelors degree (or Associates degree with experience) in Technical or Engineering field is required
3+ years of professional experience testing and troubleshooting electronic products in a Manufacturing environment
Experience in problem decomposition, root cause analysis, and risk analysis using common diagnostic test equipment and software tools
Experience with software and hardware integration and test methodologies
Experience implementing new test processes and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across disciplines and organizations
Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel
Familiar with electronic assembly industry standards such as IPC610, IPC620 and J-STD-001
Citizenship Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen.
