The Role


Your primary responsibilities will be to support various centralized processes across the Fidelity teams including Fixed Assets, Construction in Process, and Leases are properly accounted for and reported.

You will be a key player on the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.

You will work closely with other accounting teams, Enterprise Technology, Finance, and Tax to understand business transactions and to come to proper accounting conclusions.

You will have additional opportunities to participate in Accounting Modernization projects and initiatives. You will also have opportunities to cross train and learn multiple different accounting areas in this role.


The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and internal controls
  • Highly motivated, flexible, quality focused teammate with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and exhibit both independent thinking and good judgment
  • Inquisitive nature and process improvement demeanor
  • Motivated and maintain a sense of accountability in and ownership of your work
  • Ability to solve problems independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that build and maintain strong, constructive relationships with business partners
  • Can work on multiple deliverables concurrently and meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
  • Understanding of and ability to learn financial systems and multidimensional reporting tools (i.e., Oracle, Essbase, Power BI, CoStar)

The FMR LLC Accounting Team is a dynamic team with a focus on continuous improvement and providing added value to our business partners and other accounting teams.

The FMR LLC Accounting team works across the Company and gains exposure to a variety of new and emerging areas.
