    We are seeking a Solutions Architect to support the growing Enterprise Integration and Services practice within our Information Technology (IT) department. Our IT department executes with proficiency, delivering to our clients valued services that help them to achieve their financial goals. We make solutions simple, align resources and assets with strategic priorities, and continually improve our skills, processes and IT capabilities. The person who accepts this position will be challenged to perform complex tasks and be rewarded accordingly.

    What would I do?

    As a Solutions Architect you will be a part of our Enterprise Integration and Services team (EIS). EIS provides middleware for high reuse in the enterprise. EIS also provides coarse-grained services for reuse amongst Western & Southern Financial Group's systems. These platforms and services are intended to provide connectivity with consistency and agility.

    The Solutions Architect should be able to articulate a vision for supporting the enterprise strategy by working with other application and platform teams; and collaborating with Enterprise Architects. Among other tasks, this candidate should demonstrate a working knowledge of API Gateways, Enterprise Service Bus implementations, Event Frameworks, and leveraging middleware as part of a Federated SSO approach. WSFG uses the following:

    • IBM API Connect
    • IBM IIB
    • PING Federate

    This candidate should have a passion for improving processes through an Agile mindset: looking for opportunities to streamline release management or striving to achieve new levels of maturity with API implementations. While this candidate would be focusing mainly on integration, they should be conversant about web services and have a track record of collaborating with other groups within an IT organization as either a tech lead or solutions architect. Working knowledge of hardware capabilities and virtual machines is a plus, but not required.

    Additional responsibilities include documenting best practices, setting foundations for the intake of new work, and triaging support issues with an eye toward determining root cause and preventing future problems. You will receive the opportunity to research and use new tools as our dynamic team implements the next generation of Western & Southern Financial Group's technology.
