    Description
    Job Title: Solutions Architect

    Optimized IT is regional in scope, providing Managed IT Services from small to mid-sized organizations including Commercial Business, Not-for-Profit, and K-12 markets. We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect with great client communication skills and an appetite to solve complex problems.

    Job Summary: As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing strategic IT solutions for Optimized IT and their clients. Their expertise will be crucial in meeting client needs and driving successful outcomes. The Solutions Architect is also an escalation point for the Service Department for internal or client facing matters.

    Functions/Responsibilities:
    • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs, goals, and technical requirements. Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
    • Develop high-level and detailed technical designs that outline the architecture, components, and integration points of the proposed solutions.
    • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to recommend the best fit for each project.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to Optimized IT's Service and Project teams throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure that the architecture is implemented according to the design.
    • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the proposed solutions and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Create comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation guidelines.
    • Assist in the development of project proposals, estimates, and project management efforts.
    • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure the delivered solutions meet quality and performance standards.
    • Present technical solutions and architecture designs to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to bring innovative solutions to our clients.
    Desired Competencies and Skills:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent experience) with 8 or more years of relevant experience
    • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, particularly in an MSP or IT consulting context.
    • Expert understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Office 365, Windows Server, and SQL Server (MS-101/102 or Preferred (AZ-303 & AZ-304, or AZ-305 and AZ-104 a plus))
    • Expert understanding of Microsoft system management (AD, Group Policy, DNS, DFS, NPS, etc)
    • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
    • Expert understanding of Virtualization (VMware Preferred) and Storage solutions.
    • Expert understanding of Networking
    • Well versed with backup solutions
    • Good time management skills and able to multi-task
    • Ability to work well and communicate with all areas of the company as well as external customers and vendors.
    • Highly motivated, energetic, self-starter
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
