    Holston Valley is a 500+ Bed multi-specialty Level III Trauma Center serving TN, Kentucky and Virginia.

    We are a heavy Ortho, Neuro and Vascular/Cardiovascular (Top 50) shop with a growing Robotics program (SI, New XI, MAKO).

    We schedule 4 10 hour blocked shifts per week with call or 3 12 hour shifts 1 week and 4 12 hour shifts the next also blocked.

    We also have 2nd shift opportunities available, 11 am-11 pm Mon - Wed. or Wed.-The Surgical Technologist I in the Operating Room is responsible for providing safe and effective patient care.

    The Surgical Tech I works under the direction of the RN, assisting in nursing care and preparation of surgical patient by performance of routine or delegated duties.

    Responsible for proper room set up, proficient in sterile technique, sets up sterile field with proper instrumentation related to the procedure, assists the surgeon during the case, counts sponges, sharps and instruments in accordance with policy.

    High School Graduate or equivalent, and must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program or an LPN program.

    For surgical technologist in Virginia facilities, if the candidate has not completed an accredited surgical program, prior surgical tech experience may be substituted for such program.
