JOB SUMMARY:

Under the coordination of the Director Admissions, the Admissions Counselor for Readmit Students will attend recruitment events on and off campus along with managing communications via Slate CRM system.

The Admissions Counselor for Readmit Students will be an integral member of the team responsible for admissions event planning and recruiting of returning students.

As a valuable member of the admissions team, the Admissions Counselor is responsible for a wide range of activities related to recruitment and enrollment of new undergraduate students.

This position serves as a first point of contact for returning students, providing information and advisement on the admissions process, financial aid, academic programs, curriculum, student services programs, and the general educational, residential and extra-curricular environment at the college.

The incumbent is expected to actively participate/promote the myriad of on and off-campus activities designed to recruit, admit, and yield an entering class for each program that align with institutional enrollment goals.


DUTIES:


  • Work with the Director Admissions to determine goals and objectives for Readmit Students.
telephone contact in order to recruit prospective students and assist applicants throughout the admissions process.

  • Administer communication initiatives, database management, creation of targeted content, and ongoing CRM messaging.
  • Establish channels of communication with prospective students to introduce them to and inform them of NJCU's programs; facilitate their relationship with the institution throughout the admissions process inquiry through enrolled student.
  • Plan admissions yield events information sessions, workshops and registration drives.
  • Coordinate development, documentation, maintenance and reporting to ensure efficient communications. Conduct training of staff as needed.
  • Work closely with academic departments and marketing team to support recruitment efforts.
  • Prepares clear, technically sound, accurate and informative reports containing findings, conclusions and recommendations.
  • Assist the Director in assessing the effectiveness of proposed publications.
  • Runs Peoplesoft reports on an adhoc basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree.


EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years Professional experience in an institution of higher education required, admissions experience preferred.

  • Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following institutional procedures
  • Ability to be organized and pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with students, faculty, staff and members of the community.
  • Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
  • Ability to be dependable and trustworthy.
  • Ability to learn computer technology and university systems to access data, maintain
  • Proficient with computer technology (esp. PeopleSoft and Slate) to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others
