    Are you a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic looking for a new opportunity? Look no further Our client, is seeking a talented and dedicated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of heavy equipment used in construction, mining, and other industries.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes.
    • Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, using a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment, and develop effective solutions.
    • Parts and Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of parts usage and inventory levels, order necessary parts, and track expenses.
    • Preventative Maintenance: Follow maintenance schedules and ensure all equipment is serviced in a timely manner to prevent breakdowns and maximize uptime.
    • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
    • Documentation: Thoroughly document all maintenance and repair work, maintaining accurate records of service history.
    • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other team members, including equipment operators and supervisors, to coordinate repairs and ensure efficient workflow.
    • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with advancements in heavy equipment technology and industry best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

    Requirements

    • Experience and Skills: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, with a strong knowledge of heavy equipment systems and components.
    • Technical Expertise: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant technical certifications in heavy equipment repair.
    • Diagnostic Skills: Ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
    • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
    • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, with a focus on accuracy and precision.
    • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex equipment issues.
    • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate effectively with other team members, communicating clearly and professionally.
    • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment parts and working in various weather conditions.
    • Time Management Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and complete them within deadlines.
    • Safety Consciousness: Thorough understanding of safety protocols and guidelines related to heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
    • A strong understanding of OEM processes and procedures is a must for this position.
