    If you have any questions about this change, please email .Primary DutiesThe main purpose of the Development Coordinator position is to lead fundraising effortsunder the direction of executive staff.

    Fundraising goals for the Moananuiakea Voyage areambitious, and yet PVS has both the proven track record and existing donor base to raisesignificant funds through a variety of means.

    The Coordinator will lead the strategic planfor organizational fundraising, to include identification, cultivation, solicitation, andstewardship of all corporate sponsors, donors, and partners as well as merchandising andmembership.

    As such, the Development Coordinator position will include, but may not be limited to, thefollowing duties:
    Develop and maintain a prospect management tracking system andcommunication strategy that supports proactive major gift fundraising.

    Collaborate with others in the organization, in particular the CEO, COO, andPVS board Advancement Committee on donor cultivation, stewardship, andrecognition events/activities.

    Establish and implement strategies for stewarding and cultivating potentialprospects. Work with board members to identify corporate relationships and supporttheir solicitation efforts. Maintain and improve current donor, member, and merchandise systems. Serve as a selfless member of the PVS team to support other PVS staff asneeded to ensure voyaging success.

    Report to the COO.The Development Coordinator will be the lead on maintaining and growing all of PVSbusiness channels that create revenue for the Moananuiakea voyage.

    As such it is criticalthat this individual collaborates with others in the organization to track voyage progressand media and public relations since this collaboration will be needed for donor cultivation,stewardship, and recognition events and activities.

    The Development Coordinator must thrive in the face of a variety of priority needs and beadaptable when they arise without much notice.

    Required ExperienceThe Development Coordinator must have the skills, training, and experience required tocarry out the aforementioned development functions, ideally within PVS specific areas ofneed, competencies, and culture.

    The combination of relevant experiences (bothprofessional and lived) alongside relevant educational degrees and/or work experiencesthat display a skillset appropriate to this position description is required.

    Specific Responsibilities Build and oversee an online presence for all forms of fundraising,merchandising, and membership.

    Engage in dialogue with management and relevant program staff on the PVSteam to compose a narrative reflecting organizational and program needs.

    Organize and maintain a system for tracking requests, receipt of grant fundsand reporting timelines. Organize and maintain a system for tracking and updating memberships. Write grants applications and reports, including all attachments, tables,support letters, signatures, and budgets.

    $75,000-$90,000 based on experience and skills. This position is currently funded for 4 years from date of hire. However, depending onbusiness need and/or funding, there may be the possibility of an extension.
