    POSITION: Case Manager "Possible Trainee"

    SALARY: $18.97, per hour

    REPORTS TO: Program Manager/Case Manager Supervisor

    LOCATION: , Nespelem, WA

    Basic Functions: Serves as an assistant to E&T Case Managers and aids in assessing client needs, monitoring and enforcing compliance with Individual Development Plans (IDPs), advising and processing supportive services to assist clients with achieving self-sufficiency. The Case Manager Assistant provides customer service-oriented transactions and performs general clerical support, data entry, filing and related duties, following well-established policies, procedures, and methods. The Case Manager Assistant with guidance will work closely with clients, Tribal agencies, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support. Assignments may support a variety of administrative areas.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Requires basic knowledge of Welfare Reform and Workforce development.
  • Requires knowledge of employment, training and workforce development including recruitment, training, and placement procedures.
  • Requires working knowledge of case management related to the unique challenges of the individual in need.
  • Requires basic knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment; including receptionist, telephone techniques and etiquette.
  • Requires basic knowledge and understanding of methods and procedures used in alpha-numeric filing and record keeping.
  • Requires basic knowledge of data entry techniques.
  • Requires a working knowledge in the use of common personal computer-based office Software such as Google Suite including: (Drive, Sheets, Slides, Docs), spreadsheets, and internet.
  • Requires sufficient knowledge of English language, grammar spelling, and punctuation to prepare routine correspondence and internal memoranda.
  • Requires sufficient knowledge of maintaining accurate and detailed client records.
  • Requires sufficient knowledge of the process to prepare and submit reports as required by regulatory agencies or funding sources.
  • Requires basic skills to analyze information, resolve conflicts, and employ decision making.
  • Requires sufficient human relation and people management skills to greet and work cooperatively with others, inside and outside the department.
  • Requires familiarity with reservation lifestyles and culture as it relates to the clients.
  • Requires the ability to perform the duties of the position under general supervision. Requires the ability to understand and implement Federal Regulations.
  • Requires the ability to use a work computer for data entry, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Requires the ability to operate standard office machines. Requires the ability to maintain record files and prepare reports.
  • Requires the ability to establish an effective working relationship and communication with population served, general public, policy makers, colleagues, and government representatives and convey a positive image of the Tribe.
