- Perform score keeping and bookkeeping for youth and adult sport programs.
- Carry out weekly program activities.
- Establish a positive rapport with all participants in programs.
- Attend all staff meetings and training sessions, including any state-mandated courses.
- Responsible for maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Maintains cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
- Ensure accurate attendance records are always kept current.
- Responsible for umpiring, officiating, and game time management for youth and adult sports programs.

- Ability to work successfully with and provide good customer service to supervisors, other City employees, the public and other agencies and organizations.
- Ability to perform all the job duties in a safe manner.
- The individual must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule which may include mornings, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 16 years of age by the date of hire.
- Previous experience working with teens or youth is preferred.

DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT:
This is a non-exempt, temporary, part-time position, limited to 1300 hours annually, under supervision of the Recreation Supervisor and/or Coordinator. Sports staff members are responsible for all participants in a program area and the implementation of all activities at the site assigned to include, but not limited to enforcing rules, regulations, and proper sports guideline, while engaging and interacting with participants and public, and creating a fun structured environment.

This position involves regular exposure to noise, inclement weather, temperature extremes, and extended direct expose to the sun.

City of Pueblo Temporary and Seasonal Employee Sick Leave Benefits
Beginning January 1, 2021, all employers in Colorado are required to provide paid sick leave to employees under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act ("HFWA"). Said leave is accrued at one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours.
Per the Act, leave may be used for any of the following reasons:
