- Provide technical direction to assigned engineers.
- Design and Documentation of NMC&A Measurement Systems, Data collection software, development of process maps, and system for performing NMC&A physical inventories and programmatic requirements, safeguards authorization basis document and implementation plans.
- Applies advanced engineering techniques and analyses for problems and methods.
- Oversite of Design Engineering staff who provide direct oversite of Architect Engineering (AE) firms preparing new designs and modifications to existing equipment and associated systems for the SRPPF project.
- Responsible for technical, schedule, and cost performance for the specific AE firms under contract to providing design engineering services to the project.
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years in engineering management.
- Minimum of 15 years nuclear or engineering experience.
- Experience in preparing, monitoring, and reporting for plans, including schedules, budgets, and personnel requirements associated with solving complex engineering problems and projects.
- Able to perform field walk-downs including leading teams to perform equipment trouble shooting and restoration of function and to document as-installed conditions and to inspect equipment condition.
- Ability to work independently and within a multi-discipline team.
- ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management and business professionals regarding project requirements and project constructability.

Job DescriptionThe purpose of this position is to provide support with a Design Authority Manager to the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project. Responsibilities include oversite of Design Engineering staff who provide direct oversite of Architect Engineering (AE) firms preparing new designs and modifications to existing equipment and associated systems for the SRPPF project.
Safety is a primary responsibility for all employees working on and off SRS. Subcontractor shall obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task.
