Head of Renew Solutions Strategy and Digital Transformation

Position Overview


As the Head of Renew Strategy and Digital Transformation, you will be a member of the executive leadership team of the Renew Solutions organization.

You will lead several functions within a multifaceted organization, responsible for setting the strategic direction and driving the success of the Renew Solutions Business (Sourcing, Remanufacturing, Financing, Remarketing).

You will be fully accountable for the designated organization's long-term success and overall contribution to broader company goals. You will assume responsibility for the successful implementation of business plans in a defined area of responsibility.

In addition to overseeing the Renew Business Strategy, you will be responsible for the longterm operational success, strategic alignment, and full integration of activities with other major organizational functions.

This includes coordinating digital transformation initiatives, and communication strategies, driving long-term business planning, and providing strategic guidance in merger and acquisition (M&A) activities.

Lastly, you will act as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction of the business. You will report to an EXEC2.


In addition, the position will host the Renew Center of Excellence (CoE) to spearhead the development of key capabilities aimed at enhancing client experience and optimizing Product and Value Chain Functions.


Specifically, this role requires a strong executive presence, extensive experience in refurbishment and remanufacturing, digital technologies, communication, strategic planning, M&A, and a deep commitment to sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities


Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Renew Solution E2E strategy aligned with the organization's overall vision and goals, emphasizing sustainability as a core principle.
  • Develop all content related to internal executive reviews and external presentations.
  • Drive alignment with the GBU and GTM strategies and build partnerships to ensure thorough execution.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional L2 and L3 executives to ensure alignment with broader organizational strategies and sustainability objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance in merger and acquisition activities related to Renew Solutions.
  • Assess potential synergies, risks, and financial implications associated with M&A transactions related to system connectivity, circularity, and alignment with the organization's overall goals.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and other relevant teams to navigate sustainabilityrelated regulatory requirements and ensure the successful execution of M&A transactions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a sustainable competitive edge.

Long-term Business Planning and Business Management System:

  • Contribute to developing the organization's long-term business plans, incorporating refurbishment and remanufacturing strategies, digital transformation initiatives, and circularity goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities, new markets, and strategic partnerships related to refurbishment and remanufacturing, ensuring alignment with the organization's circularity objectives.
  • Conduct indepth market research and analysis to inform strategic decisionmaking, prioritize sustainable practices, and promote a circular economy approach.

Digital Transformation Leadership:

  • Lead digital transformation efforts, leveraging digital technologies to enhance sustainability practices, operational efficiency, data analytics, and customer experience.
  • Identify and evaluate digital solutions, platforms, and partnerships that can drive sustainable practices, improve resource utilization, and minimize environmental impact.
  • Evaluate together with D&TO the LTP investment plan in Information technologies and associated program management.
  • Enable the internal systems and technologies required to transact Renew Solutions business globally.

Communication and Content Creation:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy and plan to engage internal and external stakeholders regarding refurbishment and remanufacturing initiatives, emphasizing sustainability.
  • Translate Renew Solution's capabilities to the financial community, supporting HP Investor Relations to communicate the Renew value added through climatebased transactions. The goal is to increase HP's value as we increase our engagement in the circular economy.
  • Effectively communicate the organization's refurbishment and remanufacturing achievements, value proposition, and sustainability efforts, highlighting the positive environmental and social impacts.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for Renew Solutions strategies, representing the organization at sustainability conferences, events, and media engagements.
