"The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are looking for candidates for a 3-year apprenticeship as a Track Builder / Civil Engineering Specialist (m/f/d) for the South East Bavarian Railway at the locations of Freilassing or Mühldorf (Inn). The vocational school is located in Nuremberg.
What to expect during your apprenticeship:
  • You will work on construction sites, railway substructures, and superstructures to ensure a safe and stable rail network
  • You will work together on tracks and switches, inspect our rails for any defects, and replace damaged parts
  • You will work with state-of-the-art machinery and various building materials
  • You will learn how to use surveying equipment to expertly check track curves and gauge widths
  • After your apprenticeship, you will be an indispensable part of the team, responsible for ensuring that all passengers reach their destination safely and smoothly

  • Office work is not for you - you prefer to work outdoors
