Location:

1 Physician Assistant needed to work in various locations including White Plains, Yonkers, Bronx, and Harlem

Schedule: Monday-Friday - 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, or 10am-6pm

Compensation: Salary range between $150,000 to $175,000

Notes

Candidates must possess a Workers Compensation Board number or be willing to obtain one (process takes 1-2 weeks)
Travel to different locations based on candidate's residency
Team composition: practice manager, LCSW, administrative staff (3), and Director (Psychologists)
Utilize EMR System: OVADA and Green Bills
Evaluations duration: approximately 45 minutes
Interview process: 1-2 face-to-face interviews before extending an offer

Overview

We are seeking a Physician Assistant specializing in Pain Management. The ideal candidate should have expertise in treating bone, joint, and ligament injuries, aiming to enhance joint functionality and overall well-being. The PA would oversee patients with orthopedic injuries and contribute to pain management services. Responsibilities include care provision for both existing and new patients, collaborating closely with physicians and surgeons to deliver top-notch healthcare.

Responsibilities

Create a professional and inviting environment to improve patient experience
Efficiently communicate with staff and providers to ensure seamless patient flow
Address patient inquiries via phone, email, and other channels promptly
Prepare patient charts by verifying required test results and documentation, and reviewing pertinent exams
Maintain electronic medical records, including data entry and document uploading
Document all examination findings and anticipated treatments
Conduct necessary medical procedures and prescribe/refill medications as necessary
Order specific tests like bloodwork and X-Rays as required
Advise on healthy practices and discuss treatment alternatives with patients
Recognize the need for specialist referrals and coordinate accordingly
Follow up with patients post-consultation to address any concerns
Assist physicians in examinations and treatments as needed

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience as a Pain Management Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Previous involvement in Pain Management preferred
Active Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License
Willingness to travel across different NYC locations is essential
Authorized for Worker's Compensation cases
