    Cost Controller Analyst

    Job Summary

    The Cost Controller Analyst will Prepare cost estimates for construction projects, and services to aid management on determining price of product or service. May specialize according to particular service performed or type of product manufactured.

    Job Responsibilities

    Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

    Assist in the development and maintenance of project cost control procedures and systems.

    Create project cost forecasting and trend analysis reports.

    Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develop.

    Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors, and review and analyze contractor and vendor cost reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.

    Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.

    Monitor, analyze and report project costs against budgeted costs and provide variance analysis to management.

    Visit site and record information about access, drainage and topography, and availability of utility services.

    Regular traveling to various unanticipated project site locations in Southern California

    Salary: $50,274 annually commensurate with skills and experience

    Education

    Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or related field required

    Experience

    At least 2 years in Business Development and Planning positions

    Special Requirements

    A minimum of 2 years of experience in the following:

    Business Development and Planning positions

    Leading process improvement and business development projects

    Creating and analyzing financial reports

    Utilizing quantitative analysis

    Performing data analysis

    Employing financial models for forecasting, budgeting, managing risks, and cost estimations
