    Description

    Responsible for interacting directly with prospective students regarding admissions requirements, performing data entry, and assisting students with the application and enrollment process.

    Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities

    Meet with students and parents one on one as well as participate in on-campus recruitment programs.

    Counsel prospective students and their families regarding all aspects of admission and financial aid.

    Visit local community colleges and community based organizations as assigned.

    Participate in the processing and evaluation of applications for transfer admission utilizing university guidelines to determine admissibility of students.

    Assist with planning and execution of some campus recruitment events.

    Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

    Requisite Qualifications

    • Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities to keep abreast of trends in student recruitment and enrollment.
    • Some experience in admission, financial aid, or other area of higher education is preferred.
    • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills (both written and oral); poise and professionalism necessary to represent the University independently before a variety of constituencies.
    • Highly developed organizational and leadership skills.
    • Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.), and familiarity with contemporary social media and other communication tools.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent lifting carrying or pushing up to 25 lbs; finger movement, use of high acuity hearing. Constant standing, walking, sitting, clear speaking and hearing conversationally.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is normal.

    MENTAL DEMANDS: Frequent calculating, constant interrupted work on a variety of interrelated and unrelated tasks, sustained concentration, use of reasoning, judgment, resourcefulness, analytical ability, and ingenuity.

    Salary range
    $ $30.70 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
