    Position Overview:
    Scan Global Logistics is looking for a Staff Accountant Intern to join our team. This is an internship position in our Seattle WA office.


    As a Staff Accountant Intern at Scan Global Logistics, you will work closely with the Director of Finance along with other talented accountants.

    Each of these accountants embody a cross-functional team within our Finance group.

    What you can expect in an Accountant role at Scan Global Logistics:


    • Perform AP analysis and project processes.
    • Perform various analysis on general ledger accounts and budget/forecast performance.
    • Manage monthly reconciliation schedules such as (but not limited to) fixed assets, accrued liabilities, and prepaid expenses.
    • Collaborate with business operations to identify and remedy pain points within the financial reporting workflow.
    • You'll advocate for accuracy across all accounting functions, safeguarding operational and executive confidence in reporting.
    • Develop a deep level of subject matter expertise in the areas under your management.
    • Play a key part in the evolution of our finance culture and drive initiatives that enable the team to provide a positive value to the business.

    What we expect from you:

    • Familiarity with US GAAP (Required)
    • Ability to review financial statements and address critical performance matters.
    • Strong excel skills: Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, keyboard shortcuts, etc.
    • Ability to work independently and use experience to work through challenges.
    • Confidence to ask appropriate questions as needed.
    • Challenge the status quo and drive process improvements.

    Job Type:
    Full-time


    Salary:
    $25.00 hourly wages


    Education/Experience level:

    • 1-3 years of college level course work experience in the pursuit of a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience in the field.

    Schedule:

    • 8-hour shift
    • Monday to Friday

    Work Location:
    In person.


    This is a paid internship offering an hourly rate of $25.00 per hour (offered on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on the candidate, however, full-time is preferred).
