- Serve as the Institute's liaison between Human Resources, Payroll, Campus Card Services, Security, Facilities and Finance departments.
- Support the development and execution of Institute-sponsored events (virtual and in-person), including event promotion, logistics, and technical/in-person support.
- Manage purchasing for the Institute.
- Serve as the Institute's HR Partner; manage the hiring and on-boarding processes for students, Misc. Temp workers, part-time faculty, and Independent Contractors.
- Prepare and submit payment requests, honoraria requests, and vendor invoices.
- Oversees social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Mailchimp, and creates relevant content on a regular basis.
- Assists with website up-keep.
- Provides administrative support to Visiting Scholars, Postdoctoral Fellows, and Senior Research Fellows, as needed.
- Assists the Deputy Director on special projects and initiatives as needed.
- Additional tasks and committees as assigned.
- 3+ years of experience working at a nonprofit organization.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Demonstrated comfort level communicating and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva.
- Comfortable navigating various social media channels professionally
- Detail-oriented.
- Strategic thinking and strong organizational skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.

- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a relevant field.

The Zolberg Institute on Migration and Mobility (the Institute), an institute of The New School, seeks a full-time Program Associate. The Program Associate will provide support for the day-to-day operations of the Institute and work with the team to ensure its growth and success.
The Zolberg Institute on Migration and Mobility supports critical and applied scholarship and provides opportunities for social action and policy engagement for faculty, students and the broader New School community. The Institute fosters concentric circles of scholarship and action-in our University, our city, and the world. We contribute to the University community by offering courses, sponsoring lectures and events, and supporting extended visits of leading scholars. We engage deeply with New York City, supporting student work with the wide range of groups and communities in the City. We undertake initiatives to inform and influence public debate and public policy at the national and global level.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Program Associate will be responsible for administrative support, day-to-day project-management and administration, coordination of internal and external meetings and events, social media, various HR support, research and general support needed to advance programmatic goals. This is a fixed term two-year position. Extending is contingent on program funding. This is a new position for the Institute.

Hybrid/Split - Employees hired for this position have regularly scheduled, consistent percentage of time on campus (ex 1-4x/week) and also work some of the time remotely. #LI-Hybrid
SALARY
$62,400 - $70,000
