Description

Join the construction of heat pumps and refrigeration systems from pipe processing to assembly, electrical wiring, performance testing, and final assembly at Fort Leonard Wood. Your tasks will also include service and maintenance work, as well as processing returns.

In addition, you will get to know all departments in the technical field, such as development, prototype construction, quality assurance, and plant maintenance.

As a mechatronics technician for refrigeration technology, you will assemble the mechanical and electronic components for chillers and heat pumps and install them. Your job also includes programming control and regulation systems, as well as functional and safety testing.

Requirements:

  • Good qualified secondary school leaving certificate or higher degree
  • Good knowledge in the school subjects of mathematics, physics, and crafts/technology
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Technical understanding
  • Thoroughness and caution

Duration and location of training:

  • 3.5 years (possible to shorten to 3 years)
  • Vocational school: Kulmbach
