PRP Group Facilitator Contractor Position


August Rose Health Center, LLC is a licensed and CARF-accredited agency that provides community-based behavioral health services throughout Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Prince Georges's County.

August Rose is a dynamic and leading provider of psychiatric rehabilitation services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

August Rose Health Center is currently seeking a passionate Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor for a contractor position.

The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor (PRPC) role is a great opportunity to continue your career path in the Counseling, Social work, and Human Services industries.

REQUIRED Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, Mental Health, Counseling industry or related field preferred
  • 1 year of related experience; 2 years of experience providing direct care to adults and children (Case management, PRP Counselor, Residential Counselor, and Vocational Counselor) preferred
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License, proof of current automobile insurance, and may not have more than two (2) points on their driving record
  • CPRP (Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner credential) is a plus.

Responsibilities & Essential Duties:


  • Responsible for the facilitation of a minimum of 2 Child/Adolescent psychoeducational Groups and 2 Adult Groups per month.
  • Involved in the development of program group activities, including group curriculum design, procedure development, implementation, and promotion.
  • Responsible for the development of the monthly PRP Group Calendar / Schedule for both the Child and Adult PRP Programs.
  • Complete and submit thorough, accurate, and timely documentation in accordance with agency policy and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintains electronic documentation for groups and participants in keeping with program standards
  • Attends and participates in regular staff meetings.
  • Perform crisis intervention and complete Incident reports, as necessary.
  • Must work some evenings to provide groups for the afternoon/evening.
  • Must facilitate inperson onsite and offsite activities.
  • Must facilitate virtual group activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
