A Manufacturing company is seeking a Bilingual Japanese/EnglishDirector of Engineering and it is the Battery Material Manufacturer to join their team in Greensboro, NC. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, manufacturing, customer support, safety, quality, strategic planning, budgeting, financial planning, and management of all resources in the core facility. A B.S degree (in Mechanical/Electrical/ Mechatronics, Material Science, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or related field), over 10 years of experience working as a plant/engineering manager in the battery or battery material manufacturing field with at least 5 years in a leadership role are required, experience with Lithium metal anode/foil manufacturing from metal ingot to ultra-thin foil and its application for all advanced batteries, and the ability to speak, read, and write Japanese are required. This is a full-time, exempt position, plus bonus, with excellent benefits and 401k. [Work schedule: Mon-Fri] ***Company is able to support VISA from Japan & can provide relocation fee**
Bilingual Japanese/EnglishDirector of Engineering and Manufacturing Duties:
-Leads pilot-line engineering/manufacturing teams and allocates all resources to achieve the best-qualified outcomes.
-Leads long-term and short-term strategies to allow the company to remain competitive, achieve targets, and reduce costs.
-Leads the implementation of new processes, technologies, and manufacturing improvements to streamline organizational processes and the use of resources and materials.
-Leads the development and sustenance of a culture of "safety first" across the entire employee population.
-Leads efforts to improve facility performance in respect of people, materials, quality levels, and equipment.
-Leads support for business development objectives, focusing on understanding customer requirements and implementing safe, high-quality, and efficient production processes.
-Encouraged to provide innovative ideas, solutions, and business processes through leadership and decisive action to push for an ambitious yet attainable strategy for growth.
Bilingual Japanese/EnglishDirector of Engineering and Manufacturing Skills:
-Must be able to speak, read, and write Japanese
-Must have a B.S degree (in Mechanical/Electrical/ Mechatronics, Material Science, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or related field)
-Must have over 10 years of experience working as a plant/engineering manager in the battery or battery material manufacturing field with at least 5 years in a leadership role
-Must have experience with Lithium metal anode/foil manufacturing from metal ingot to ultra-thin foil and its application for all advanced batteries
-Strong knowledge of material/metal processing with the ability to solve complex process related problems
