- Lead initiatives to meet production goals and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in planning and production scheduling.
- Using Lean methodologies, identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to promote the development and stability of the planning and supply chain operations.
- Identify and initiate opportunities for process improvement within quality, cost, delivery, inventory, and staffing.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis and identify trends to make informed planning decisions.
- Coordinate production plans based on capacity, BoM and material readiness.
- Measure and report the effectiveness of planning activities and employees' performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiative to enhance planning processes and outcomes.
- Ensure standardized work processes are followed and countermeasures are implemented.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated with industry trends and innovations.
- Manage direct staff and communicate job expectations and coach/mentor employees.
- Provide timely and constructive performance feedback, corrective actions, and performance evaluations.
- Perform other duties in support of department or company needs as assigned.
- BS degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
- APICS certification, CPIM or CSCP, preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Certification, preferred
- 5+ years' experience in production planning preferably in the biopharma, medical, or biotech or related industry.
- 3+ years' experience managing employees.
- Advanced understanding of ERP/MRP systems (Syteline preferred).
- Management of the internal requirements is a key role of the position including quality, delivery, cost requirements, etc.
- Knowledge of quality system regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously, effectively manage time and deliver results.
