    Our client is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to join their team This position is 100% remote, but candidates in the DC area are preferred

    Candidates are required to be US Citizens and will need to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
    This is a part time role, candidates will work roughly 20 hours per week The Business Intellligence Developer will spearhead development and delivery of critical reports and dashboards to our business clients within the Federal Government.

    In this position, you will utilize your experience with Microsoft Power BI, Report Development skills and other Microsoft reporting and analytic tools in a cloud-based environment to help customers with their data needs.


    In this role, you will:

    • Work with stakeholders and undertake analysis to understand and document current state of reporting and analytics
    • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand ongoing and future data needs and document reporting requirements
    • Design, develop, and implement operational and analytic reports, visualizations, and dashboards utilizing Microsoft Power BI
    • Migrate existing reports and dashboards from various Microsoft reporting tools such as SSRS, SSAS, Power BI desktop, and Power BI Reporting Server to Power BI Service
    • Utilize knowledge of Azure cloud data services such as data lake, data warehouse, Synapse Analytics, and Analysis Services, to design and develop optimal reports to meet user needs
    • Collaborate with other team members including data architect and data engineers to design and implement data models and data transformations for Power BI reports and Azure Analysis Services
    • Design, develop, and implement processes and functions to ensure data quality in reports and analytics
    • Incorporate data governance policies, processes, and procedures in delivery of reports and analytics to end users
    • Incorporate AI/Client techniques and functions to enhance data processing and reporting
    • Assist the Help Desk with problem and incident management
    • Assist with end user training
    • Participate in the agile software development process For this position, you must possess:
    • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience
    • At least 4 years of demonstrated experience delivering reports, visualization, and analytics using Power BI, to include Power BI Cloud Service, Power BI desktop, Power BI Report Server
    • Experience working with the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS)
    • Experience with Report Development
    • Experience with Azure based data services, including ADLS Gen2, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure Analysis Services
    • Experience with SQL databases (OLTP, OLAP), data preparation, multi-dimensional models, TSQL, DAX/MDX, Power Query, data warehousing
    • Understanding of JavaScript, CSS, SQL, AI/Client principles and uses
    • Experience in Agile projects, working with a multi-functional team
    • Strong analytical capabilities with proven problems solving skills
    • Must be detail oriented, and able to multi-task with good follow through skills
    • Ability to work well in a team environment and/or work alone with limited supervision.
    • Ability to successfully obtain a government-issued Public Trust clearance.
    Not required, but additional education, certifications, and/or experience are a plus:


    • Power BI and Microsoft Azure data analytics related certifications
    • Experience developing predictive analytics, utilizing AI/Client functions
    • Experience with Power BI datamart development
    • Experience supporting data governance, including data catalogs, business glossaries, metadata management
    • Experience with Design Thinking and Human Centered Design, and persona driven solutions
