Product Owner II - Vancouver, United States - Re:Sound

    Default job background
    Description

    Why work for Audigy?

Everyone who works at Audigy has a direct impact on the company and the people we work with. Our mission is to help our clients and their employees achieve their personal, professional, and financial goals through their business. Our passion is helping others realize their potential, and our success is achieved by helping others achieve a higher level of success.

The technical Product Owner II maximizes the value of the development team and is responsible for effective product backlog management. Success requires that the entire organization must respect their decisions. These decisions are visible in the content and ordering of the product backlog and through the inspectable increment at each sprint review. The Product Owner must represent the needs of all product stakeholders in the gathering of feature requests, scheduling releases, and coordinating sprints.

    CULTURE:

We are looking for someone who is willing — nay, eager — to be an active participant in a professional and people-first culture. As a member of the Application Development team at Audigy , we're looking for someone who demonstrates the traits and values we hold in high regard: Be a team player, embrace and overcome adversity, and always have a strategy and plan. Someone with exceptional dedication to delivering to our clients (members) the best experience and highest-quality work. Someone who fosters and thrives in generous-spirited collaboration and teamwork. On this team — whether we succeed or learn how to do it better next time — we do it together.

Salary range is $90,000–$110,000 annually (DOE), a $75/month cell phone allowance, and the following benefits:

    • Medical/dental/vision
    • 401(K) w/company match
    • Parental/family leave w/transition back to work
    • Hybrid work environment
    • Generous PTO and paid holidays
    • Free gym membership
    • Daycare flexible spending account
    • Education reimbursement
    • Hearing instrument benefit

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is aligned with the product vision. This includes defining user stories, features, and technical tasks in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Requirements Elicitation: Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to gather, analyze, and document product requirements. Translate these requirements into actionable tasks (product backlog items) for the development team. Innovate the process and maintain consistent standards for definition of ready and definition of done that are apparent to all.
    • Prioritization: Determine and communicate the priority of backlog items, taking into account customer feedback, business objectives, and market trends. Ensure the team is working on the most valuable features at any given time when planning sprint backlogs and releases.
    • Sprint Planning: Participate in sprint planning meetings with the development team to clarify user stories, answer questions, and provide guidance. Define the acceptance criteria for each user story.
    • Daily Involvement: Be an active member of the development team, participating in daily stand-up meetings, providing clarifications, and making real-time decisions to ensure the team's progress aligns with sprint goals. Provide leadership by modifying the sprint backlog as needed.
    • Product Demonstrations: Organize and lead sprint review meetings to showcase the product increment to stakeholders, gather feedback, and make any necessary adjustments to the product backlog. Use each sprint review as an opportunity to align product increments more closely with the evolving and blended vision of all stakeholders.
    • Release Management: Collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to plan and manage product releases. Ensure that the product is delivered on time and meets the specified quality standards.
    • Risk Mitigation: Identify and address potential risks and issues that may impact the project's success. Work to remove impediments and bottlenecks that hinder the team's progress.
    • Customer Engagement: maintain open lines of communication with customers and end-users (or their proxies) to gather feedback, understand their needs, and incorporate their input into the product development process.
