Job Description
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week located at Lake Forest Hospital. This position is an evening/2nd shift role and has a weekend rotation.


The
Resource Coordinator - Housekeeping **reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.


Responsibilities:


  • Assists with the selection of new team members.
  • Conducts orientation and training of new and existing staff.
  • Monitors the orientation of staff and identifies further instructional needs.
  • Schedules staff for adequate coverage to meet the needs of the department; maintains attendance records.
  • Prioritizes, assigns and reviews work; provides feedback to manager regarding staff performance.
  • Assists the manager in establishing and evaluating performance expectations for staff.
  • Serves as a resource to staff.
  • Evaluates staff performance; participates in the completion of annual performance reviews.
  • Ensures staffing levels which meet department guidelines: ensures optimal department coverage and mínimal overtime.
  • Monitors utilization of supplies and equipment for optimal efficiency and cost containment, processes purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Supports quality assurance programs for the department.
  • Enforces policies and procedures.
  • Interacts with all departments regarding patient, family, visitor and employee needs regarding accommodations, amenities, meeting set ups, moving of equipment, furniture and files.
  • Ensures work areas and equipment are left in a neat and organized condition.
  • Evaluates assignments, schedules, supplies, equipment and methods, and initiates appropriate action supportive to continued quality improvement.
  • Schedules, coordinates and assists with set ups and break downs for meetings, moving of equipment, furniture and files.
  • Recommends painting, decorating and repairs to improve sanitation, appearance and efficiency; reports necessary repairs and unsafe conditions.
  • Ensures building and office security; locks and checks doors and windows.
  • Performs the duties of other Housekeeping positions as required.

Qualifications Required**:


  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions, read and write in English.
  • More than one up to three years of related work experience required, demonstrating a working knowledge of the job responsibilities and methods.
