    Isaac School District 5 - Special Education Teacher (SPED) - Phoenix, AZ (ASAP to May 24th, 2024)

    The Isaac School District 5 is seeking a passionate and qualified Special Education Teacher (SPED) to join our team

    About the Role:

    • Start Date:ASAP
    • End Date:May 24, 2024
    • Hours:37.5 hours per week (8-hour days with unpaid duty-free lunch)
    • Location:Phoenix, Arizona
    • Caseload:
      • Position located at PT Coe Elementary School.
      • Serve students in grades K-5 with Autism (Mild/Moderate).
      • Caseload of 12 students with a mix of 1:1 and small group instruction.
      • Requires familiarity with managing student behaviors.
      • Responsibilities include managing IEPs, lesson planning, and ensuring compliance with special education regulations.
      • Must possess a Special Education Teacher Certification with Cross-Categorical authorization.

    Special Requirements:

    • Must have completed and submitted IVP fingerprint clearance.
    • Possession of a valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate is required.
    • Prior Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training is a plus.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload of IEPs and lesson plans.

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
    • Develop and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans aligned with IEP goals.
    • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
    • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents/guardians to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
    • Monitor student progress and make data-driven decisions to modify instruction as needed.
    • Maintain clear and concise communication regarding student progress.
    • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.

    Qualifications:

    • Arizona State Special Education Teacher Certification with Cross-Categorical authorization.
    • Minimum one year of experience teaching students with disabilities in a K-12 setting (preferred).
    • Strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional strategies for diverse learners.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage student behavior effectively.
    • Commitment to providing a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
