What we Expect:
Overview:
This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operations of our facility by flexibly transitioning between the woodshop, shipping & receiving department, and handling janitorial duties as needed. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, capable of adapting to different tasks and environments efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Woodshop:
Assist in the production of window components.
Operate woodworking machinery and tools under supervision.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Shipping & Receiving:
Prepare products for shipment, including packaging and labeling.
Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying accuracy against invoices or packing lists.
Maintain organized storage areas and conduct periodic inventory checks.
Janitorial Duties:
Perform routine cleaning tasks in various areas of the facility, including offices, common areas, and restrooms.
Empty trash bins, dispose of waste, and ensure cleanliness standards are met.
Monitor and restock janitorial supplies.
General Duties:
Provide support in other departments as needed, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in woodworking, manufacturing, or related field is a plus.
Ability to operate woodworking machinery and tools safely (training will be provided).
Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
