    Job Overview:

    RWJBarnabas Health is looking for a dedicated ED Technician to join Monmouth Medical Center.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • BLS (American Heart Association)

    Preferred:

    • Completion of Nursing Assistant (NA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN), Patient Care Assistant (PCA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Health Care Technician, or similar clinical program
    • Previous clinical experience as an NA, CNA, PCA, EMT, or in nursing/medical roles
    • Strong communication skills and knowledge of medical terminology
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

    Scheduling Requirements:

    • Night Shift, 36 hours per week (7p-7:30a)

    Essential Functions:

    • As an Emergency Department Technician, you will work collaboratively with the healthcare team, performing selected patient care activities under the guidance of a registered nurse
    • Providing patient care tailored to the age-specific needs of patients in your care
    • Promoting effective and safe patient outcomes through sound judgment and actions
    • Maintaining open communication with patients and colleagues regarding patient care status
    • Participating in developing and executing patient care plans for smooth transitions from admission to discharge
    • Identifying safety issues and taking necessary actions to address them
