    Property Accountant

    to join their team.


    Salary/Hourly Rate:
    $90k - $120k


    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Property Accountant to join our client's team.

    The Senior Property Accountant will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of the multifamily properties, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in accounting processes.


    Responsibilities of the Property Accountant:
    The Property Accountant will oversee all aspects of property accounting for a portfolio of multifamily properties.
    Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    Perform detailed variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.

    The Property Accountant will manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, rent collection, and vendor payments.

    Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate recording of transactions and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
    Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate general ledger records for each property.
    Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide support for financial forecasting and planning.
    The Property Accountant will prepare and submit regulatory reports, tax filings, and other financial documents as required.
    Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
    The Property Accountant will provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

    Qualifications for the Property Accountant:

    5+ years of experience is required.
    Yardi experience is required.
    Multifamily property accounting experience is highly preferred.


    Education Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
