Senior Property Accountant - West Palm Beach, United States - Aurum Property Partners
Description
We are growing Our commercial real estate company in West Palm Beach is seeking a Senior Property Accountant.The candidate will be responsible for all day-to-day property accounting functions including implementing company's financial policies and procedures, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, CAM reconciliation, budgets, fixed assets, financial reporting, and reporting to investors.
This opportunity is a hybrid remote work position.Responsibilities:
Responsible for full cycle accounts receivable, accounts payable.
Maintain, reconcile, and administrate all general ledger accounts.
Prepare month-end close activities including balancing of books, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis for internal management and investors.
Maintain fixed assets and prepare monthly depreciation reports in accordance with GAAP.
Assist with CAM reconciliations and budget reviews.
Maintain financial controls, processes, and procedures to ensure company maintains high compliance with GAAP.
Provide management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress.
Assist with special projects as required.
Requirements
BS degree in Accounting, MBA a plus; 5+ years of post-graduate business property accounting experience, demonstrating extensive experience in A/R, A/P, General Ledger and strong financial reporting skills; Positive team player with strong people skills; Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities; Self-starter; must have ability to work independently with minimum supervision; Strong proficiency in MS Office - with advanced skill level in Excel Must be proficient in Yardi, MRI knowledge a plus; Excellent written and oral communication skills.
