As a Clinical Risk Manager, you will:
Assist in managing the assigned clinical risk management program on a day-to-day basis.
Take a leadership role within the institute/hospital and ensure data integrity, analyze risk management data and assist in the mentoring and development of new CRM (Clinical Risk Manager) team members.
Take an active role in the implementation of risk management educational programs. Investigate and manage significant adverse events that occur in the clinical setting and result in patient harm.At Cleveland Clinic, we know what matters most.

This caregiver will travel between all our of Florida locations - mainly operating out of Martin with other occasional travel.
Responsibilities:
Safety Event Reporting System (SERS)
Event Management:
Identifies, codes and manages event reports for assigned Institutes or Hospitals. Investigates and analyzes trending data.
Conducts and facilitates Root Cause Analyses (RCA); identifies root cause and causal factors of events.
Trends RCA themes and patterns; identifies/articulates opportunities for pletes documents. Serves as mentor/preceptor for new employees.
Assists with coaching healthcare providers or facility leaders regarding unanticipated outcomes.
Openly communicates with members of the Law and Enterprise Risk and Insurance Departments on cases.
Follows-up with patients and families when appropriate and works proactively toward early resolution with other appropriate parties as necessary.
Identifies cases that may be potential claims and provides an early warning to other departments (Law, ERI) once identified.
Presents cases to larger groups in addition to Huddle I, Huddle II and Medical Legal Committees.
Serves as resource for risk related issues/information.
Develops, presents education session upon request or with identified need. Maintains visibility in the organization.
Participates in Institute/Hospital Committees representing Clinical Risk Management and leads committees or projects related to risk mitigation or improving patient safety.
Other duties as assigned.Education:
Registered Nurse (BSN) or Bachelor's Degree in a health sciences discipline is required.
Master's or other advanced degree preferred.
Certifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) or other healthcare discipline licensure strongly preferred.
Current certification as Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management required.
Current FASHRM, DFASHRM, CPPS or CPHQ certification, or other advanced education in the field of quality strongly plexity of Work:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
Minimum five years clinical experience required. Leadership experience preferred.
Minimum three years experience in risk management, patient safety or quality management.

Physical Requirements:
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
